But what is it???

You want to support Sonikmatter? This is your chance. It costs money to keep the servers alive—and while we could have the site looking like a NASCAR paint job, we know this is not what you want. We turn away more ads each week than we should, and we only advertise products or companies that we know and trust. This limits our options. You asked us to come up with ways to avoid this, and we have.

But what do I get out of it?

Again the site stay honest. You know that what we tell you is the gosh darn truth. Or at least our version of it.

Secondly, you get to join the Backstage forums. Unfettered access to folks like you—folks that want to see the site grow, and unlittered by the riffraff (if you haven’t bought a pass, that would be you…until you get off your booty and do so).

Avatars! To many forums have to police their members avatars. Raunchy nasty and just plain ugly avatars. Whores that we are, we will gladly put up with these if’n you pay us. In most cases. Ok, yours is likely to get banned, but can we interest you in an image of a LOL Cat???

Upload space. Backups are a pain in the butt. Same with bandwidth. For you? We’re willing to risk it. Not much, and only for the forums—no setting up your MP3 Collection for the outside world to listen to. But want to share something with the other members, cool.

Kurzweil Tutorials? We gots some! Occasionally, we share these with the outside world, but this gives you access to a few of our secrets that we don’t want to share.

RSS Feeds? Ok—that cat is out of the bag, but we have a few other beta items that you will get to try before the rest of the riffraff. Try to break these things. See if you get any use out of this stuff before we decide if its worth the time to open it up to the rest of the world, or tell us if its just plain dumb.
